Bentonville-based Outdoor Cap, one of the country’s largest headwear suppliers, is ranked No. 25 on the PPAI Top 100, an inaugural ranking of industry leaders by the trade group Promotional Products Association International.

The PPAI 100 is an exclusive industry award chosen from a pool of 14,000 distributors and suppliers who are members of the organization.

Only 200 companies were selected to apply for the award. Placement on the PPAI 100 is meant to be the highest recognition the company bestows on its member companies.

The criteria include multiple factors, including the previous year’s revenue growth, industry faith, professional development, responsibility, innovation, employee happiness and online presence. Revenue is the primary factor considered.

The award was announced during PPAI’s North American Leadership Conference on June 6 in Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1977, Outdoor Cap has over 14,000 business customers across multiple distribution channels in the team sports (MLB and MiLB), promotional products, hunting/fishing and retail categories.

The company develops, manufactures and sells between 45 million and 50 million caps in a typical year, including traditional baseball caps, neck gaiters, boonies, straw hats and knit hats.

Outdoor Cap maintains large distribution centers in Bentonville, Texas and California and has more than 400 employees in Northwest Arkansas.
